Hotel on STT

Hi all!

Hubs and I have one night in St Thomas before departure and looking for a good place near airport.

Anyone ever stay at the Lindbergh Bay Villas?

Island VIew Guest House is great. Modest, affordable, convenient and great views. Owners are very accommodating and can dine right at the guesthouse. We have stayed there several times at the beginning of a trip and never have had a bad experience.

There are 3 hotels right at the airport on Lindbergh Bay.
Emerald Beach [Best Western]has a pool and is beachfront and the most upscale of the 3.
Carib Beach is also a Best Western and is steps from the terminal and is waterfront with a shuttle [2 min.] to the beach at Emerald property. It is the least expensive.
Island Beachcomber is also beachfront with older rooms and a nice beach bar.
All 3 are very convenient to the airport and a short cab ride to town or Frenchtown.

Island View is very nice and a short cab ride from the airport and is a few hundred ft. up Crown Mt. with a good view.

I have not heard of Lindbergh Villas. It appears from the website info to be part of the Carib Beach property undergoing some upscale renovation to boutique hotel type standards.

We stayed at Emerald Beach on the way to Tortola one night on our most recent trip in October. Great room, clean, with views! The beach bar and restaurant were both fun to hang and eat at. We would stay there again in a heart beat.

We have stayed at a number of different places on STT, most recently the windward passage downtown (years ago it was the holiday inn, still often referred to as such). If you want specifically near the airport we have stayed at the emerald beach and it was very nice. We walked to the airport in the am for our flight, but we were traveling light. Decent beach and fun to watch the planes go in and out.

We've stayed at Emerald Beach several times, but not recently. I am glad to hear that they are still a good place to stay. Every room has a beach-front view.

+1 for Emerald Beach. It's also an easy walk to the airport with a rolling carry on.
