STJ Villa for two?

Post by Schnell »

Looking for recommendations for a small villa for a couple. We have been to STJ many, many times over the years. Just never stayed on STJ and considering it in the upcoming year. Pretty much any location is an option. Pool is most likely required, but would consider not having a pool if house is close drive to beaches.

Hi there,
Do you have a budget? Time of year you're thinking of going? There's low season rates and high season rates (usually start mid December) and holiday rates too. Villas often rent by the number of people, so you can even look at big places and see what their two person rate is. Then there's the question of which side of the island. For such a small island, it really can matter where you want to stay, close to lots of things, or more secluded. Husband and I have been a number of times and stayed in a number of different places; there's lots of choices but we can try and help narrow it down. Pretty exciting to plan the first trip! :D

We have stayed at a couple great places in the coral Bay Area. They both had pools, AC and we're just plain great.
villa Jumbie and maybe Harbor View....I can't remember the exact name but can look it up if you are interested.

Sun, Moon and Stars is wonderful and very romantic (1 BR, very private)! Villa Jumbie (2BR) was very nice too. Probably about the same price range.

I have to agree with Villa Jumbie, if you're staying in Coral Bay... Great home and pretty private, too. Would actually recommend it for a couple, even though it has 2 bedrooms. The space is (as usual) roomier than the website can picture. Outstanding location, too. Any other questions, please feel free to shoot me a private message.

We've stayed at Coconuts several times. Its spacious for 2 people, but not overly so. The view from the deck is fabulous and the pool is private. We like the Gifft Hill location to be close to Cruz Bay for groceries and restaurants, and it's not a long drive to the north shore beaches. Highly recommend this villa.

Great views, places to hike right from the villa!
