A man-made island
A man-made island
This evening, we noticed a new island that appeared behind Buck (that's the one on the right) and Capella (the one on the left). This ginormous floating island (aka cruise ship) departed the scene shortly thereafter, for ports of call unknown, leaving its smaller but more securely tethered brethren behind. By the way, common questions to VINP park rangers include "What keeps all the islands from banging into each other?", and "Do they go all the way to the bottom?"

We have people in Congress, I understand, who are concerned that they might tip over.

Exactly what I was going to say Jim - I sent my friend who lives on Guam a message telling her I hoped her home wasn't going to capsize
Re: A man-made island
That's funny! Last week when we were at Coconuts we said that cruise ships were as big as some of the islands!
Wish we were still there!

Lori: You have two PM's, but they haven't been read yet; hence this post. We think that someone in your party left some photo gear behind. Please check your VIOL inbox.

Thomas Perry's novel 'Island' is an enjoyable read on the subject.
"The exuberance of youth pales in comparison to a middle-age crisis."
