First Drink?
Re: First Drink?
If you are taking the car barge, you can purchase drinks at the little building in the staging area.
Re: First Drink?
Gibber, like you we also get some provisions on St Thomas before getting on the car barge. Since there are four of us we usually have a 12 pack. We get very thirsty waiting for our turn to get on the barge.

Have to change my response.
The lovely splash of rum at the airport rocks.
The beer or rum on the car barge is an appetizer. A wonderful one...it's a little less ceremonious landing at Enighed, compared to the "Welcome to St. John". But we all end up at the same place.
Sticking with Woody ' s for the first Painkiller.

C'mon, seriously you don't know how to open a beer without an opener??? SHAME, SHAME....gibber161 wrote:The first drink is the shot from the Rum Lady in the airport. We always rent a car on St. Thomas and do our shopping at the Food Center in Red Hook. We purchase a cold six pack of Presidente's and enjoy a cold one on the car ferry over to St. John. However, one year we forgot to buy a bottle opener and just had to enjoy the view minus the suds.

Re: First Drink?
Rum shot when we land, a drink while waiting for luggage, a drink at the ferry and then usually straight to the High Tide (last year was Joe's Rum Hut which was awesome because I got to meet Bev, Dee Dee, Beth and their guys)
