I LOVE Cruzan Rum, but...

Cruzan Black Strap reminds me of molasses. The Black Peal sounds good as well as the Dark and Stormy. The shrimp recipe looks good too. I drink Mt Gay Eclypse Black which is a 100 proof rum similar to the Cruzan Dark. Yah mon.

Jim, hubs said it is used as a "topper". A layer on top of fruity drinks like piña coladas.

We also use it to add a little depth to our black bean soup. It doesn't take much but adds so much with little bit of lime juice.

Also, as others have noted, it makes for a great floater, even on a rum punch.
