St John needs new Jaws of Life!
I did a quick search on the forum and didn't see anything posted about this, so I wanted to bring it your attention. In February, there was a terrible accident on St John when a crane overturned. The driver and passenger were trapped for hours until St John Rescue was able to get them out using their Jaws of Life. Sadly the passenger died, but the driver was still alive when rescued. The Jaws of Life was broken during the rescue operation, so now St John Rescue needs a new one. They would like to have two - one as a backup. Someone has set up a Go Fund Me campaign to raise money for this critical equipment. Their goal is to raise $50,000. No contribution is too small, even $5 or $10.
Remember, as St. John Rescue says, “The life we save may be yours.”
