Maho Bay today

Post by mls10 »

Today at about 3PM a 20-28 ft black hulled powerboat with a half dozen or so 30 year olds pulled into the center of the bay, hooked up to the closest park buoy, and proceeded to blast their boat stereo so loud that not only beach people, but boat people yelled at them.
Bottom line they stayed and drove boaters and bathers away. People around us all complained as they (beach people) left. Absolutely ruined the end of a very nice day.
Some beach regulations now include no amplified music, but this is Maho and I'm sure if is an NPS beach nor how it applies to boaters.
Clues, advise?

Park Ranger Hotline 340-693-8201.
Give them a call in situations like this.

Wow! That sounds annoying. I hope the NPS can do something.

Can nps do anything at Maho? I'd call in a second if that ever happens when I'm there.
