pools separate from house or with safety gates

Post by mdcoles1 »

Looking at a family vaca next year with 6 yr old grandson. Need 3 br/AC and would love a pool but cannot comfortably do one without some type of separation from main house or gate. Any one have personal experience with a home that offers this this type of set up?

We stayed at Le Lapin ll in 2006. The house and the pool are separated by steps and a gate, which I think is good for families with small children.

Two identical master bedrooms are upstairs. Two twin bedrooms are downstairs as well as the main room with the kitchen and the laundry room.

It's not upscale if that's something you are looking for but the house is comfortable. The pool is large and gradually gets deeper. The far end was pretty deep as I recall - my mouth was barely above water on tiptoes, unless it's changed in the past 10 years.

Idyllic has a pool completely separTe from the house. There is a cabana on the pool deck also. You go either down or up from the main house, through a gate, and then through another gate to get to the pool area. You do not walk across any ground, just through a series of gates. Great location very near the Westin.

Just found another villa with a gate separating the pool from the deck and house. The villa is Alice By the Sea and it is located in Coral bay. 4BR and can be set up so that children in twin beds can be on the same floor as parents if necessary. It is a much newer villa than either Idyllic or Le Lapin with beautiful but family friendly furnishings and a drop- dead gorgeous view. You can see it on a VBRO. Suggest contacting the owners directly.

Le Lapin II is a great choice.

We also have stayed at Hummingbird Hill 3years in a row and it would work out well. Here's a vid we produced for the owner;
