Lion Fish - It's What's for Dinner

Post by jimg20 »

I came across this on the Wall Street Journal's web site. Let's ask the local businesses to start serving them. There is a seemingly unlimited supply.

Man it's like some dream we live down here....

Lion Fish present a high risk for the ciguatera toxin which is a problem in this area. I will not eat it or any other reef dwelling fish.

We eat them here,in South Florida. A good number of restaurants in the Keys as well. We do not have the fish toxin, and most islands that serve lion fish....in the Bahamas for example do not have the toxin either. USVIs is well known for the toxin.
