Flush for one?

Post by toni »

Iheartsj mentioned in another post about water consumption in the islands and it got me thinking. We always try to be conservative in the rental about water usage and flushing, but what do people find acceptable in public restrooms such as restaurants or at the marketplace?

I was thinking of that at the airport last week too.

Thanks!

I'd say that it's pretty standard at restaurants and other public places to maintain the "if it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down" rule.

Restaurant bathrooms always have a garbage can for toilet paper disposal.

The airport and businesses in Cruz Bay don't rely on rain water and cisterns for flushing. They are on a public water system that uses desalinated sea water. ok to flush always.
