Here are results of water testing for Sept 12-16. Pretty common for these two beaches to fail. Of particular intersest if you stay at the Westin

Westin built on land reclaimed former dump...knew this when I was local.

I'm sure that the guests at the Westin find the sailboats in Great Cruz Bay picturesque, but the key point is that people live on them, and most of them don't move. For years, our electrician lived on one of those boats. We could see his boat from our villas, and would train our telescope on him and invite him to wave. We asked him one time if he went out to sea when he needed to discharge waste. As we feared, his answer was "No, never, best not ask".

At least we don't have alligators...

Yep - don't swim in the ocean at the Westin !
