There is already interest in this ban in the USVI legislature. Let's make sure that the public's interest is expressed to support this ban.
Thank you

Signed but realize, please, that this is a very, very, very small part of the reef deterioration in the Caribbean. The main causes are increased runoff from the overwhelming amount of new construction, over fishing and disreputable diving.
A classic example of this will be the new marina proposed in front of Grande Bay.
In addition, this law would ban 90% of sunscreen sold in the USVIs. Doubtful to see this as the legislature is swayed ONLY by money and profit.

The reef is already under stress from climate change, run off, etc. Any little bit we do will help it's survival.
The governor has already endorsed 3 bills to clean up the environment. A ban on plastic bags has already passed the senate and is on his desk for signature.
A bottle deposit is in Senate now. And a source separation bill for recycling. He is interested in banning Oxybenzone also.
