Chocolate cello

Post by mahojim »

Seasons Greetings.
Thinking about making chocolate cello with Cruzan Black Cherry rum instead of vodka/everclear/grappa.
Thoughts-?

Well Jim, I must admit that I have no clue what chocolate cello is. . . . . . .but I do love Cruzan Black Cherry Rum so I've got to believe it would be good and worth a try! Is it similar to Limon cello but chocolate? Since today is cold, icy and not a good day to be out and about, I think I'll have to get out some of my flavored Cruzan Rums and mix up some new concoctions!

Kklay-
I've done several types of cellos, but never chocolate. Thought it'd be good for the holidays. My Pollyanna is both a Cruzan Black Cherry rum and STJ fan, so I will hopefully knock this outta the park. Think I'm going to mix rum and grain. Found a simple rudimentary recipe that will be finished by Christmas. I'll let you know how it comes out, and send you the recipe if you want me to.
Sounds like you're going to enjoy your gloomy Sunday, St. John style!
Have fun!
