Congrats! Do you have any plans to see or do anything new? After 6 visits what things have become must do's for you?

Hi Hoosierdaddy!

Well, this will be our 7th stay - but our 9th time on the island (first time was when we discovered it while on a cruise, second time was when we stayed on STT).

Hmmmmm... I'm not sure what will be entirely new, but last time we didn't get to go to Salt Pond, Lamesur, hike Ram's Horn or ferry over to Virgin Gorda - so I think we'll definitely do those this trip. We also didn't get to Miss Lucy's last time so we'll probably go there - and try some restaurants we've never gone to as well. Oh- and we've never been to Josephine's Greens- and since hubby & I are healthy food nuts, I think that's a place we'll visit.

Must Dos would be Francis, Maho, Hawksnest, Gibney... Rhumb Lines, Indigo Grill, Shipwreck, Aqua Bistro. Enjoying time on the deck of our villa.
Peace,

Lisa

Ipowmacback,

On our 6th trip this year we ate at Miss Lucy's for the first time. Loved the food and the atmosphere. There are so many things we love on St. John that it is hard not to just repeat the things we have done in the past, but there are still things left to be discovered. Enjoy the planning!

Thank you!

Miss Lucy's is great- I think we were there on our first trip - the food is yummy, but the ambiance & view is what I love most about it!!

There are indeed so many things to love about STJ!!! We have a difficult going to other places - most don't measure up in one way or another. In 2008 we went to Kauai, and that was drop dead gorgeous- but we still love STJ more - love that it's so intimate - and more charming. We toyed with going to some other islands for our upcoming trip, but they're either too flat & scrubby for our taste, or too commercialized. Thought about going to Vieques recently, but have read that the US Military tested bombs, heavy metal & chemical weapons there (Agent Orange was one) and the population on the island has a 27% higher incidence of cancer than Puerto Rico - so, no thank you! St. Lucia is gorgeous (had been there for a day while on a cruise), but since its sand is dark, there is no light aqua water there- instead, it's very dark....I think we'll go there in 2019 - after I get my STJ fix in 2018.

Enjoy your planning too!!
:)
Peace,

Lisa
