Seeing Ruth made me smile. That was nice (and very inviting!!).

Can't think of a better way to spend New Year's Eve.

Okay, I just watched this video. I was a little bit nervous about this because there were cameras everywhere, all day. I felt like Angelina Joli.

In reverse order, here are my favorite moments of this great day:

The third funniest moment of this day was when I came out of the bathroom at Foxy’s Taboo. This was in the middle of the day and at that point I remember thinking that I was actually glad to be somewhere that the cameras were not. I might have been gone for a while because there was water on the floor in one of the bathroom stalls and there were several rolls of toilet paper there and there was no toilet paper at all in the stalls that had dry floors. It just made no sense at all. So of course, I had to rearrange everything and get it all fixed up properly. (Don’t ask me why I have to do stuff like that, I just do.) When I came out, everyone acted like they were trying to get on the boat and leave me there. It was funny. (The food at Foxy’s Taboo was good and the service was incredibly warm and friendly. Loved it.)

The second funniest moment was when someone scored chairs on the beach at White Bay. (“WE GOT CHAIRS!”). In the video there we are in the chairs at White Bay acting like a bunch of old people in the midst of all this mad partying chaos. When I was watching the video I thought, I sure hope they at least captured Jeff rolling around in the sand. Then Jeff comes along and is rolling all around in the sand and being hysterical. All of the boaties present were telling him he was NOT going to be allowed back on Palmabella unless he seriously rinsed off. (If you have ever lived on a boat, you just can’t help but thinking this way. It’s like a “sand-o-meter” in your head and I learned it from Captain Phil, whom I adore.)

The funniest moment of the whole day was when we were all saying our goodbyes to Captain John Brandi and I heard Jeff say “That was the best boat trip ever. It was ‘The Cool Kids Boat Trip.’”

Every time I have thought of this all week long I have just burst out laughing. This was not in the video, so now I want to know how Mary Beth knew it was “The Cool Kids Boat Trip.”

This was a rare day off for Ron and I and we had a blast. Great boat, great captain, great company.

Cast of characters:
Captain John Brandi ( Palm Tree Charters http://www.palmtreecharters.com )
Sue Brandi
Gretchen (from Cruz Bay Realty www.cruzbayrealty.com )
Gail and Peter (from “Outside the Box Solutions” and http://www.couponstjohn.com)
Jeff and Russ (from http://www.on-stjohn.com and The Bongo Bongo blog)
Ron and Ruth (from St. John Spice. In case you didn’t already know that.)
Happy New Year everyone and thanks for all the laughs.

How did I know? Well I viewed the video with my own eyes so of course I knew it was all the cool kids!

(seriously, no inside knowledge here just calling it as I see it!)

Glad you guy a day off. Looks like you spent it wisely!

Mary Beth

ps - I always wanted to be one of the cool kids!
