99....what wonderful memories your whole family made together; memories that truly do last a lifetime! Thank you for letting us "go" with you through this journey of memory-making! It truly was special.

Welcome home!

99,

You hit the nail on the head about the wonderful times with our children. They grow so fast, and in this crazy world of rush here and there, we hope they have as wonderful memories as we do. I know my 3 childred love and can't wait until we are on our adventure in St. John. Their teachers and classmates are pretty well sick of hearing about St. John. Every other word, story they might write, picture that they draw, has to do with St. John and their island adventures. Kudos to you for wanting those memories for your kids. Loved your report and pictures.

Here's to a job well done! :D

Thanks so much.....and now I look forward to reading about your memories in the making!

Reentry is not pain-free, as we all know too well. I'll spare you the gory details. One small thing that helped is that I made the most delicious marinated chicken breasts tonight with the recipe on the side of the Cruz Bay Grill Rub package. Some fresh lime, a little soy sauce, olive oil and a helathy tablespoon of da Rub. Oh yum. Not being naturally gifted in the kitchen like some of you, I really appreciate a great marinade....and yup, I was out there in my fuzzy boots grilling in the freezing cold. Goose bumps on mosquito bites are a rather unique sensation, I must say!

That CBGR marinade is fabulous, isn't it! I use CBGR in other things too. Last weekend I made beef stew and I put a couple TBS of CBGR in the flour I dredged the meat in. It really gave the stew a new and yummy flavor. I think I'll add just a little more next time.

Oh, sorry, this isn't the food porn thread, is it! LOL! Well, welcome home anyway....nice Trunk Bay pic!

Thanks for the grreat report. I don't post much but read every day. Your final post hit home. The smells ond sounds of O C brought back memories. You can bet your kids will have flash backs. We still hear it from ours (36 & 39 yrs old) Usually after a few drinks. "Do you remenber that time you made us go -----" then it just continues. Suprising what they remember. They will do you proud.

Just a small question about the mosquitos, how bad are they? They really love me, this is not the time of year that we usually go (July). Just wanted to see how much stock I need to take in buying OFF.

Thanks!

They love me too, but they were not bad at all ready4. But there are a few out after dark. A quick spritz of Off before going out at night should do the trick. I forgot to spritz myself a couple of times and got a few bites on my legs. My own fault.

I hope you love Gallows as much as we to hlsess!
