What Jimmy said, especially in light of this piece in the Sunday NYT written from the point of view of a recipient receiving well wishers.
If you have been on that side, you may empathize with some of this.

Thanks all for the kind thoughts and prayers. This was an nasty gut check, I was already through surgery,6 weeks of radiation treatments and was good as was expected but then the damn thing explode even larger. Two brain surgeries in 5 month was not fun! but I don't deal the cards.I ll just have to read some trip reports and recover. Thanks,Scott

Thanks for the update Scott. Every time I visit this forum I wonder how you are doing. Keep your chin up and your eyes on the rock. Hopefully your next STJ trip will be here sooner than you think!!

Hi forum friends,
I need to ask for some more prayers. I just found out that my brain tumor as reared it's ugly head again at my MRI on Tuesday. I need to go for a Radiation boost and then try a new type of Chemo. I have been undergoing Chemo for the last 8 months with good MRI's to follow but the area was enhanced at this weeks exam, I have already, as many of you know, under-gone 2 operations, 6 weeks of radiation and 8 months of Chemo. Your prayers have helped before so I am asking for more of your help again. I thank all of you for your support
