Good luck! In the snow!
Edited: It seems that Veronica Gaspar was not at the Parade of Nations. Is she there?
Another edit: The USVI has one winter athlete at the Sochi Games competing in Alpine skiing events, but there was another contender. Meet Veronica Gaspar. Veronica’s sport, like Jasmine, is also Slalom and Giant Slalom. Veronica took a year off from college in order to prepare for her Olympic dreams. She competed in the necessary races and qualified to attend the Olympics. Both Jasmine and Veronica achieved “B” qualifying standards, which meant only one athlete could compete at the Olympics for the USVI. Jasmine was selected based on the qualifying points she’d received in races leading up to the Games. Veronica is 18 years old. She has been skiing for fun since she was five, and racing in international competitions since 2011.

Re: Sochi... Virgin Islands Athletes
We have had many Winter [and Summer] Olympic participants over the years:

It is a big advantage to young athletes to compete under the USVI Flag.
Peter Holmberg won a Silver medal in Seoul!!
