I feel the pain of this. My oldest is a junior in HS and looking at colleges. She has great grades and test scores and is interested in Duke. We went to a presentation - very impressive - but the second-to-last slide was the money slide. $61k/year. Ouch.

And when you start looking at loans that’s another rude awakening. Be forewarned it’s not like the old days when as soon as you got out of college you can refinance your loans into one and remove your parents as cosigners no one refinances student loans anymore.chicagoans wrote:I feel the pain of this.
