In Honor of our Veterans

Post by pjayer »

God bless all those who have served our country and are doing so now. Pray for peace and a safe return for all the men and women serving overseas. We thank you for your sacrifice.

Here are a few pictures of our daughter and one of her classmates laying a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in 2006. It was very moving, and I'm not the weepy sort.

A great honor and great pictures to remember it!

I bought a poppy from the lady with the card table outside the grocery store yesterday. She said "the veterans thank you." And I said, "A veteran's going to thank me as soon as I get home." :D

Happy Vet's Day to all! Thanks for your service to keep our country safe!
