Another Act of Complete Self-Indulgence by MargyZ

Post by Margy Z »

Yep, I booked another trip in June. I’m going through this awful dental work right now and feeling very whiny and sorry for myself and it was either this or shop for some ultra sparklie thing (like maybe a silver BMW – that’s about how sorry I’m feeling for myself). And my girlfriend Kathy is going to be coming off radiation treatments and we figured STX would be a great place for her to rest and recoup.

We're staying at LaViridian. It's on intro pricing right now as it's brand new. I can pretty much justify anything and blame it on all of this Vicodin right now...http://www.vacationstcroix.com/LaViridi ... idian.html

I did save a lot of money passing on that Beemer, though.

Here's the view out over Buck Island from the lower level pool deck:

A little self-indulgence is never a bad thing...It gives you something to look forward to, also.

Wowzers! That's a lotta luxury for the price! I don't blame you for treating yourself, and in my opinion a much better use of your money than a stinky ol' Beemer would be!

Agree - and I would have felt a LOT more guilty with some ol' sparklie thing - lol. Can't wait to see that villa and all of its new goodies. Hubs and I are going to try to check it out in April if we can. There's a very pretty beach at the end of the road where it's located, too.

Been there and done that Margy...and had no money left to travel on :( ...No Dental insurance. Your two trips sound like a decent healing plan! Have fun!
Hoping for a USVI ticker in 2013!

Berlingirl, I'm sorry you had to go through this dental stuff, too. No real dental insurance here, either. They sure don't cover much at all. For some genetic reason, my "bite" is beginning to collapse in on itself so pretty much little choice but to have these corrections made before things get much worse.

Tomorrow is phase 2 of a four phase plan. Just going to plug myself in to the iPod and think about the islands.
