Colony Cove is part of what is known as "condo row" on STX. (Sugar Beach, Mill Harbour, Club St. Croix, Cruzan Princess). Condo Row is built very close to the WAPA plant to the west of C'Sted and what owners of those rental condos will dispute or not tell you is that the beaches at those condo resorts are often unswimmable. A better bet would be the further west Pelican Cove condos or even further west Gentle Winds.

Thanks for heads up, I'll definitely check out Pelican Cove Condos instead.

Sorry to debate, but I've lived @ Mill Harbour Condos for 3 years, right next to Colony Cove, during that time the waters have only been closed to swimming 3 times for a very brief time. The Caribbean Sea waters are tested on a daily basis. We have a "tire reef" directly in front that is truly one of the best on island(as per unbiased guests from our rental unit that try all beaches on island)for snorkling. You can personally check the reviews on HomeAway.com #345859, and they make positive comments in our guestbook for others to read. Long Reef is also directly in front of "condo row" if your up for the swim. The sea is also calm here due to our location. Cruzan Princess is not in this area.
