If you are a fan of Bolono Bay help them out with a vote - would be great to see a USVI hotel win this!

~Resort is one of five "Best All Inclusive Resort" finalists; must receive the most votes to win~

U.S. Virgin Islands, March 3, 2011 - The Department of Tourism is pleased to announced that the Territory's own Bolongo Bay Beach Resort has earned a coveted spot as one of the five "Best All Inclusive Resort" finalists in's Readers' Choice Awards.

To become a finalist, Bolongo Bay beat out all inclusive hotels and resorts throughout North America, the Caribbean and Mexico in the initial write-in phase of the awards. This is a huge feat for the independent 62-room resort.
Now, Bolongo Bay needs the help of the on-island community to bring the title of "The Best All Inclusive" home to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Bolongo Bay is the smallest resort in the competition, which includes hotels more than ten times its size located in Mexico, Hawaii, the Dominican Republic and Pennsylvania.

"It's important that we show our support when any of our hoteliers or tourism partners has an opportunity to be recognized internationally by consumers and industry professionals," said Commissioner Beverly Nicholson-Doty. "The more accolades our hotels, attractions, restaurants, activity/tour operators and tourism personalities receive, the better off we all are as a destination, as these awards play a crucial role in attracting visitors to the Territory."

Voting will remain open in the Readers' Choice Awards until Tuesday, March 8, 2011. To vote for Bolongo Bay in the All Inclusive Resort category, visit: ... 2011_4.htm and click on the resort's name under "Cast Your Vote."

Owned by The New York Times company, attracts more than 50 million unique visitors every month. The website's annual Readers' Choice Awards allows its readers to nominate and then vote for the "best of the best" in everything from cars to gadgets to travel.

In 1989, Bolongo Bay became the first resort to offer an All Inclusive plan in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since that time, the resort's All Inclusive plan has attracted attention from the travel industry and travelers alike for its hassle-free approach and perk-filled options, such as all dining a la carte with lobster and filet mignon and premium cocktails.
