Where would you go on STT for cheap local, island food for dinner. Fhungi(sp), curry goat, seafood or shrimp, peas/rice, conch? Thanks so much!!!

That is a good question. You can get Dominican food, usually fish, mutton stew, pork, with rice and beans, etc. at Brooks Bar pretty inexpensively. This is road side place on the right on the way down towards Magens Bay. I don't think they have the other West Indian dishes you mention though. But they supposedly have some great chicken wings.

You might like to try Hook, Line and Sinker in Frenchtown. They have good food, a nice location, and a friendly staff frequented by locals and visitors.

Glady's Cafe in the Royal Dane Mall downtown has all the typical West Indian food at lunchtime, but I think they close at 5PM.

Just jumpin' in here -- isn't Craig & Sally's closed forever? Something I heard. Please clarify. Thanks!

Yes I also heard that while on St. Thomas - seems like they are done. But I guess still waiting on the official word?

Yes, Craig and Sally have closed the restaurant - it will not reopen under their management.

Reopening in the next few days as The Twisted Cork. Run and owned by three former employees.

Yes, they opened. Food was good, still need to iron out a few kinks. Little noisy for one.

Victor's Hideout a good place for local food at night.
