Trip Report: Part 2

Aug 14th: Boat Day
This is the day I look forward to most everytime we go down. There is nothing like a day out on the water island hopping. In previous years, we have taken the Stormy Petral mostly due to the fact that everyone wants to go and they can accommodate large groups. This was not the case this year as only 6 of us would be going. So I did some research and found Big Blue Charters. The boat looked awesome, reviews on TA were good, and the price was right. It was by far the best charter we have done! Got off to a late start due to pick up location mix up, but Capt Mindy made sure to make up for it. Her twin sister was visiting for a few days and tagged along as first mate. These ladies were awesome. The boat was spacious and comfortable and even had a fly bridge we could climb up, sit on and dive off into the water. We got rained on a bit on our way out, and Capt Mindy had rain jackets available for everyone to wear. It cleared up and we had blue sunny skies. Stopped at Great Harbour, Sandy Spit, and spent a lazy afternoon at White Bay. Did something new this time and climbed the hill over to Ivans, barefoot. Even in our booze haze, it was a tough walk, I will remember to bring my shoes next time! Got over there only to find it closed:( Beautiful side of the beach though. We ended the day with a pit stop over by the secret beach near Gibney so we could perfect our swan dives off the fly bridge. All in all a great day and will definitely be booking with Big Blue again. Mindy even dropped us off at the SBR marina so that we didn't need to get taxi home! We stumbled back to the villa ate some burgers and dogs and were asleep by 9.

Aug 15th: More family arrives!
Since we were still recuperating from our day out we decided we'd stay close and have another pool gravity day. We laid around, read, and swam until it was time to make dinner which was my duty for the night. Sorry no food porn. My older sister, husband, and their two girls arrived around 8pm, we sat around and talked to them a bit before going back to our villa and crashing.

I am enjoying your trip reports; there aren't many reports from STT. STT is my passion so anytime I can read a report, I'm loving it. We're going back down in February (probably our 15th trip) and each time is as exciting as the first. We own at Bluebeards Castle but Sapphire Beach is one of our favorite vists each year. The water and scenery are like "eye candy". Keep the reports coming!! :D
