This has been in the news this morning... apparently struck by lightning during TS Irene.

Heard that everyone (about 20 people including his 90 year mom) got out OK and that the lemurs are OK, too. But so sad to see that beautiful house burn, with all of their photos and memories :-( Thoughts are with the family and staff.

Incredibly sad to see that beautiful house destroyed. I'm sure I saw the Travel Channel episode about that house at least 5 times! :cry:
So glad everyone got out safely and that he has plenty of $$$$$$ to build an even better house! Probably lightning proofed too! 8)
