Parking off the road was easy and soon I was geared and ready to go with my backpack, binoculars, the archaic 995.

We climbed the steps and faced a steep and rocky path that this unbalanced, late 60 something gal did not feel comfortable in tackling. We didn't look twice at the other trail, but I intend to learn more about where those cool photos were taken!

A couple of overlooks and a few photos later we stopped at Rosey's Supermarket-a very clean, well stocked and organized store with lower prices than Buck's. We returned to the Top of the Baths for lunch and noticed several folks there who had been to The Baths. Maybe The Season was starting!

From the highest overlook:

The next lower overlook was undergoing repairs, so we moved on down the road to a pull over further down.

The afternoon was spent at Spring Bay Beach… there are some nice rocks there!
Looking toward The Baths:

The sun was looking promising for a good sunset; we returned to the Mineshaft and once more were the only ones. The only mini golf on the island is on the restaurant grounds, and it appeared to be getting updated with new landscaping. Some clouds found the sun, but the view there is quite exceptional looking out over the water. I think I remember reading that the chickens roost in the trees there. I didn't see any, but some roosters were crowing away as if morning had arrived!
