Customs & Airport Lines

Post by notahippie »

We'll be flying from Atlanta to San Juan then over to Beef Island. I haven't booked the island to island legs yet because I'm trying to maximize island time and minimize lay-over time.

What is bare minimum time I should allow for transfer from San Juan to the island hopper, and, of course, the flight back?

We're not "risk-takers", so we allowed 2 hours last year when we flew to SJU, then took Seaborne to Beef Island. Two hours will give some cushion if your flight is late getting into SJU. It worked out fine for us. Seaborne was on-time and relatively comfortable for a small plane. We would take them again.

meh - seaborne doesn't have any flights in or out that fit our schedule (at this time - yeah, we're 3 months out)

But a 2 hour between flight cushion seems reasonable. Thanks AquaGirl!
