Tortola Villa recommendations

Post by surfnh »

Hi folks....long time STJ visitor and user of this forum, haven't been on the forum for a few years....last few years we've been doing surf vacations all over the place, but not VI. Next year we're looking to visit Tortola for maybe 6-7 days and Virgin Gorda for maybe 3 nights....basically to scope the places out. We've been to STJ a lot .....starting to go through VI withdrawal symptoms and need another fix.

For the VG visit we intend to stay at Guavaberry and keep it simple. For Tortola we need some help for a villa recommendation. We want to surf while there (assuming there's a swell), so we want to be in the Apple Bay area if possible. We'll have a car, and we prefer a house with a pool, with washer dryer....up high if possible to get the breezes but not required. Something within walking distance of the surf break would be nice but usually that limits the options. At this point it's just the two of us, maybe more will come, but we don't really have a budget....of course don't want to go crazy, but lets say limit $500/night for the 2 of us. We don't need more than 2 bedrooms really, unless we get a good deal on something larger.

We found one villa so far called "Little Apple Bay" which looks good. Do you folks have any other recommendations for this west end of the island?

We stayed at Fort Recovery Beachfront Villa & Suites Hotel. Beachfront Room, Second Floor. It was simple but enjoyed the view of all the islands. The only downside was that the road is close, you can hear traffic at times. on the balcony and inside you did not.
