I remember my youngest was laying in childrens hospital after open heart surgery when he was 1 hoping he would be ok. Now he is 6'3" tall and a great young man that I'm so proud of. I'm sure Luke will do as good as people that have to fight for life have the will to turn out great. Enjoy every minute with him

so glad to see that picture of Luke- you can tell by the glimmer in his eyes- what a fighter he is! He has so many people rooting for him (and you!)

Wow, I had completely missed this post months ago. I read every post today and my heart is so very happy for you and your family. Luke is beautiful.

There but for the Grace of God go I, says she. Please everyone, if you have not signed up to be an organ donor or a blood marrow donor, please do it today.

Luke continues to amaze us and his doctor's. He possibly could be out by this Thursday :) All his numbers are in the "normal" range which they have never been in since he was born! He is eating and drinking and of course smiling! Luke has lost 5 lbs of fluid since his surgery and now weighs only 18 lbs.

We think of the donor family often. We are so grateful to them.

Luke's happy face makes my day... so happy for you and your family!

I feel pretty certain that the donor's family would find some sense of joy in knowing how much and how quickly Luke has improved... I wish them peace.

I am so thankful to hear the good news and see how wonderful Luke looks. Such a happy boy and he looks so good after his surgery.

Thank you to the donor family and I hope more people decide to sign up for this as it is truly a wonderful gift to someone in need.
