Geocaching

Post by TraumaQueen »

Can you tell I'm getting excited? I've started more threads in a few minutes than I have since I registered!

For those of you who Geocache, are there any "do not miss" ones? I belong to the website and have been looking them over, but wanted to see if y'all had any suggestions. I love doing this as a way to explore.

Should I bring my gps I use to find them or are they easy enough without it?

A couple we travelled with a few years ago did geocaching and they went to a location on haulover north. We had never heard of it before, but it was a fun wild goose chase for a few.

Try the Handsome Boys geocache if it isn't already on your list. Beautiful spot on Hansen Bay. A little hill climbing to get to the cache. Yes, you need to bring your GPS.

Here are the coordinates in 3 different formats:

Decimal 18.34037 -64.67425
DDD MM.MMM N 18° 20.422 W 064° 40.455
DDD MM SS.SSS N 18° 20' 25.332" W 64° 40' 27.300"

Good luck and have fun!
