newbie question

Post by sunandsnow »

Thanks all of you for being on this site. I've been reading it and it's helping me to plan our (yay, only 31 days away now) trip.
We know we want to do a Jost trip for the day. It looks like most of you combine that with a snorkel trip. Is there such thing as a trip straight over there to spend the day? I'm thinking I'd like to spend more than just a few hours over there at the Soggy Dollar.
Thanks again

We are considering trying this out to maximize our day on Jost.... We haven't tried it yet, but it appears that it may come close to the expense of the ferry and taxi cabs to get around Jost once there???

Thanks both of you for your responses. DRD, after I posted my question, I saw your thread. Guess I should have looked some more this morning before posting my question.

I believe it is $110 round trip plus customs (not sure though). The ferry is $75 round trip including $5 departure tax and customs then add $10 for taxi so $85 total therefore at least $25 cheaper or 3 Painkillers cheaper per person (maybe more if there is a Customs fee) and currently the ferry on Sunday departs Jost at 5:30pm

I believe the public ferry is $70 + $5 BVI fee, NOTE - it returns later in the afternoon on M, T, W, so you get an extra hour of White Bay (and some Painkillers!)

AND currently on Sunday it returns at 5:30pm but not sure how much longer that will be for or if it is their new schedule.

That is great news about the ferry leaving at 5:30pm! I hope it stays that way. It will be a no brainer which day to go next trip.
Going "home" again October 26th!
