It looks like an alternative to going to JVD for Old Years Night has emerged - much easier to party without the C&I issues and the ferry is reliable and affordable.
Maybe the JVD party will revert to the yacht-centric venue it was born of - and Cruz Bay will become the new Times Sq. of the Caribbean for those folks who don't have their own boat -- of course the real party for the yacht crowd is in Gustavia not Great Harbour.
