Very budget trip help needed

Post by lovest.john »

Found good airfare out of our home airport. End of July - beginning of August for 8 nights. Would like to spend no more than 2K before tax. Family of 5; 2 girls and a boy (17-22). Would take 2 bedroom if 3 beds in one bedroom or sleeper sofa. Shared pool would be fine. Air is a must. Would prefer staying closer to Cruz Bay but not opposed to staying further out towards Coral Bay.
Have thought about waiting til about 1 month out to book accomodations but have never done this before and am nervous that I wouldn't find anything.

Check out Battery Hill. Some friends of ours stayed there last year and really enjoyed it. Walking distance to everything in Cruz Bay.

I went to VRBO and did a quick search...this is the only thing I came up with that is close to what you are looking for. http://www.vrbo.com/464545#

Best of luck and have a great trip! :)

My boys and I stayed in this Battery Hill condo last August. It has a main bedroom on the first floor and the upstairs loft has 3 beds. There was never anyone else in the pool while I was in it, and it's walking distance to town.

The only downside was the shared laundry facilities, had I realized that going in I would have packed enough to not do laundry.

Check out Kia Ora. They have updated the villa and it now has AC in all the
bedrooms. Rent through Private Homes but their pictures have not been updated
for some reason. Just google Kia Ora St. John to see the newer pics.

Sorry Kia Ora will not work. I forgot to add for more than 2 people. But you
could ask.

Not too far off your budget at $2300 for off season. Beit Hawa http://www.vrbo.com/376619# 3 bedroom 2 bath, hot tub, great views. Haven't stayed there, just found it while looking for my next trip.
