Playing Martha

Post by shoemak38 »

So my daughter has decided to start writing a blog entitled Playing Martha and being a dutiful parent I am going to shamelessly plug her site to the forum. With a rationalization that these great tips will help when you're at your villa on St. John. 8)

Likes Ina?

Has a dad who eats anything? (I miss my dad....)

AND a Siamese cat?

Count me in! I put her in my favorites folder. Tell her I want to see Muffin in future posts. I'll read them to Theodore and Franklin, my Siamese fur children.

Due to the positive response a certain blogger needs more subject matter so she's going to cook us a meal on Saturday for the next blog. Dad's liking this activity more and more so keep giving her positive feedback because (the dad who eats anything) a certain father may become well fed out of this activity. And I'll make sure she gets a picture of muffin

as a side note I will not eat turnips, cannot eat: conch or mussels

My daughter gave away my secret sweet potato recipe. What she forgot to tell you it needs to be in a covered pan 8)

This cauliflower gratin was created by the queen herself, Ina Garten. Pretty much the entire Shoemaker Thanksgiving is Ina Garten’s recipes. Except for my dad’s sweet potatoes, which consists of 2 sticks of butter and several heaping cups of brown sugar (he’s truly a culinary genius). This cauliflower gratin is equally as healthy, with whole milk and lots of cheese.

Similar to my husband's recipe for sweet potatoes except he uses maple syrup instead of brown sugar!

I used your daughter's crab cake recipe Friday night.
