Has anybody snorkeled around Buck Island?

No but we are planning to do so in Feb. Does anyone have input? Wish this forum was more active.

We have not yet visited St Croix yet love snorkeling. While investigating a possible trip to STX we were informed that the coral on the windward side of Bucks island was rather beaten up by past storms but the leeward side was pretty good. We found this to be true on our trip to Bonaire when we sailed out to the island of klein bonaire. So, keep an open mind and ask locally when you get on-island. We too wish that this particular forum was more active. No one responded to our last post, so Anthony took pity on us and answered himself.

Haha well I guess we'll have to be the active ones! Seems like the reef around Buck Island would be a whole lot more pristine since its been protected for so long.
