STJ Bonus?
STJ Bonus?
We made a family trip to STJ last June for 10 days. Our granddaughter and
grandson-in-law accompanied us, plus other relatives came a little later. We all had a wonderful time, of course, and all the newbies were entranced with STJ.
Yesterday our granddaughter (in the middle of Winter Storm Thor) had a beautiful baby boy. He was a week early. Mom, Dad and baby doing fine.
I am sure this has happened before. Would love to hear the stories!

Congrats to everyone in your family!
Our STJ baby merely hitchhiked along days after conception and was "confirmed" after we returned home.

How sweet, congratulations!

Re: STJ Bonus?
Both of my girls are STJ souvenirs...the island has a way of ensuring repeat visitors! I got pregnant on our 7th trip to STJ and then again on our 10th trip.
My older daughter has a similar birth date to your grandbaby; she just turned 5 on March 3rd; she was a product of our June 2009, 10 night trip. She was also early, by 16 days.
My younger daughter is 22 months old (she came 4 weeks early). Both girls love STJ.
This picture was in October; it was my attempt to photograph both girls wearing "Made in St. John" shirts...as you can see, that went over like a lead balloon.

PA girl~
That may have been the case with this baby too. Can't blame them! They can still be STJ babies, right?

Our friends joined us for their first trip on St. John a few years ago. Nine months later their son John arrived.

My theory is it's the painkillers they are a natural fertility enhancer. Congratulations on your new granddaughter.
Re: STJ Bonus?
As my daughters always tell us too much information too much information. Once you inform your daughters in their teenage years, they will never want to go to St. John with you. Our youngest never lets us forget about how we told her she was a result of a weekend in Vermont.Teresa_Rae wrote:Both of my girls are STJ souvenirs...the island has a way of ensuring repeat visitors! 2006 - Gang of 23 went down for Thanksgiving, Gang of 24 returned. I was calling our trip Gang of 24 before we left because we had four childbearing aged women along. I left the conceiving and conception up to others!

LOL. It wasn't a trip report but I considered mentioning it in this thread where I talked about how I got yelled at for using the air conditioning:toes in the sand wrote:I never seem to catch that part of the trip reports!

If she knew why you needed the A/C, she might not have been so cranky!
