Honeymoon Beach @ Caneel

Post by SuefromMA »

Hi, everyone!
Would anyone happen to know which days of the week Honeymoon "might" have a "chance" of being "less busy/populated" than other days?? When we are on-island end of April into early May, we will of course avoid Ship In Port in STT days. But, does anyone know of any other days that "boat tours" from STT might either come or not come to Honeymoon to bring a boatload of people?
Even though this beach has lost its long ago serene and peaceful vibe, it is still one of our favorites - due to the awesome snorkeling and gorgeous shade (which I need).
Thank you!
Sue

Even on a Saturday in September we've seen at least two big day boats come over from St. Thomas. It is a regular STT resort excursion. Early mornings and later afternoons are your best bets.

Do they still charge to park there in October?

It is still one of our Favs...but Lil Cheeze doesn't like all the crowds and the concessions that bring more folks. She recalls earlier days of her youth(she was about 10 at the time( 8 years ago) that there were only about 15 people on the entire beach and our group made up 8 of those. I remind her that if we were on Clearwater Beach the same week...there would be thousands on the beach, the water would be cloudy and chilly.

Enjoy the Journey

The simplest and most effective way to enjoy a barely populated beach is to either show up very early, or else late in the afternoon. If you plan to spend all day there, it's more hit or miss.

All the best,

Kevin
