Cruz Bay to Crown Bay Ferry
Has anyone used the new Cruz Bay to Crown Bay ferry?
I was looking for an "official" schedule for this ferry.
I was guessing it would take around 45 minutes.
That would be perfect timing to get a bite at Tickles and then taxi to the airport.
Are taxis available at Crown Bay or would I need to call?
Sunny Regards

Re: Cruz Bay to Crown Bay Ferry
This ferry has been cancelled. I heard it was because of complaints from the other ferry operators.

There's a FB page called "St. John Car Barge Schedule" and there was a bit of discussion about it there. People said that it was cancelled by the Port Authority and that other ferry companies complained about the competition.

Re: Cruz Bay to Crown Bay Ferry
During our recent stay on STJ, we noticed a new ferry making frequent runs between the USVI & the BVI. It was not Native Son (white & green hull), Smith's (blue & white), Roadtown FF (Jamaican flag), nor the Mona Queen (grey & white).
This one was same hull style as the NS Express, only painted white, with yellow trim lengthwise. I vaguely recall it being marked "Caribbean Dream" ... or something like that.
Perhaps this is the ferry that was intended to run b/w Crown Bay & STJ?
Just wondering.
