Trip report Jan 5-Jan 26th

Post by cindygad »

My husband retired from work on Wed and we left for St John on Sat. What a way to celebrate. The weather was dry with only a few rain showers in 21 days.
So with little rain, very few bugs and no see ums.The first week stayed with friends at Lunazul. We ended up eating in most meals except lunch. The view sucked us in.

The Last 2 weeks we stayed at Angelroost. We are Coral Bay people so only went to Cruz bay a few times. We are up early hit the beaches early and go to sleep early.

Blog is very picture intensive

Thanks for the trip report. You really do love to snorkel!. The view from Lunazal was amazing. What a great way to start each morning. I have two questions about your TR. First being a fellow Hoosier I was wondering what Indiana Pizza was and secondly what are dipping eggs?

Us HOOSIERS have to stick together.

Well, the dipping eggs term came from my best friends boys. When I would have them over and cook for them they would always ask for dipping eggs, either over easy or med so you have yolk to dip toast in. My favorite as well!

Pizza Pi Sweet home Indiana was White porcini sauce, mozzarella, sage sausage, pickled sweet corn, and fresh spinach, Bryan from busy bee had lived in Indiana at one point and said it was good. It was good! I can not say I have had one like that here though!

Glad you liked Lunazul we love it when we are traveling with another couple,

Yes, we love to snorkel and went to some areas we have not been to in a while.
I feel at home the water. Already booked for next year

Hi Cindygad,

I was on island Jan 20-Feb 8 and I think we saw you on some of the beaches. We also did north haulover (amazing) and kiddel (had'nt been back in a while due to worries about access) as well as the usual suspects (salt pond, lameshur, etc)

Your pictures are so nice.

We'll look for you on the beach next year.

We have been coming the same time for 10 years so we have been seeing some same people each year. We are fortunate to be booked for next year. You will have to give a shout out if you see us since we don’t have advantage of knowing what you look like.

were you happy with the places the boat took you to snorkel? We are thinking about a trip on our next visit and want to leave out of Coral Bay.

Yes, we were happy with the snorkel places. We never felt rushed and would snorkel an hour or more each stop. The last stop long bay out by point we had been there several times before was the only stop I would of ask for a different stop. Not much there. We did see an octopus though so made it worth it.
