locations ok?
The Beaches I've mapped include- Salomon, Honeymoon, Hawksnest, Maho, Cinnamon, Watermelon, Trunk, Gibney, Vies (private), Drunk, Salt Pond. I was hoping a few people could just look at them and tell me if I got the locations correct. Once they are verified we can refer any/all people to the web link to locate these beaches easily!
Thanks-
Thanks-
Sherban:
You have Gibney and Caneel swapped.
I think Cinnamon Bay Beach is the correct name.
Little Maho Beach is right between Francis and Maho.
Waterlemon is actually called Lienster Bay Beach, I believe.
You've missed Vie's beach by a couple of hundred yards. Try lat 18.3436 Lon -64.6761.
Add Little Lameshur at Lat 18.3201 Lon -64.7270.
Have fun.

That looks extremely cool!
Has anybody ever been to Mennebeck Beach? Looks like a totally deserted type place. Can you get there by land?
Also.....would it be possible for somebody to do the same thing with some of the business in Cruz Bay? Or would they be too close together?

Hey sherban,
FYI the very large house above the villa Hawksnest is named Hawksview Estate
Roberto,
To find Pelican Rock, go to the a big red dot indicating East End on Google Earth. Just out from that dot farther from the shore is Pelican Rock.
You can see a white boat out in the water. Pelican Rock is in line between the boat and the end of Vie's beach.
Coordinates
18 20' 27.63"
64 40' 31.00"

I'm fairly sure that we snorkeled that beach.Someone that we met at Vie's told us about it.As I recall we snorkeled along the rocks to the left of the beach.I've been reading descriptions in guide books since then but could never exactly place it.
If the winds are up at Haulover, Pelican Rock should be a nice site.

Hey Roberto,
You're very welcome. I hope it helps you locate it. Last time we were at Vie's, my husband was swimmimg around the rocks to your right as you face the water. I don't know what got into him but he decided Pelican Rock wasn't that far and he struck out swimming for it.
He made it to the rock, but after encountering some tough currents and deep water, he floundered back in to shore and stepped on a sea urchin.
He was really proud but I realized nobody knew where he went and I never would have looked for him out there.
Glad he made it back safe.

When we went to Vie's she wasn't open yet, so we continued on down the road until the pavement ended, parked next to the dumpster to avoid blocking any of the driveways, and walked to the beach.
Pelican Rock was just to the right, big as life, you can't miss it.
We thought the snorkeling there was excellent, and we were the only ones in the water or on the beach!
