My Dad was a diabetic so we drank tons of Tab when I was growing up. I don't think I could swallow it now.
Fresca, however, is my summer favorite. I make myself a virgin cosmo with Fresca, lime and cranberry juice. I'm glad to hear that it's sold on island. I'll have to come up with a new concoction for my first St. John drink.

Tab? Fresca? Coconut & juice? Oooooww...I'm affraid this is going in the wrong direction. Now let's see, something cold and needs a bottle opener, for openers. Then rum and coke - any flavor rum and any flavor coke. Mix and match!
Ok, I'll admit, I am a fan of mango coladas...

I know you all prefer rum, but yesterday I started making "practice" drinks for our trip to STJ, and I have to say that my Fresca Virgin Colada was quite refreshing. Fresca, crushed ice, pineapple juice, and coconut cream with a lime garnish. Even though I still have three days of school this week, Memorial Day is the official start of summer so I thought it was fitting.

Here's the link to the recipes. We had a pitcher of BBC's last night and they were yummy! Haven't tried the margarita yet.

I have two green cocktails to share from Friday...I was trying to make Celtic-themed drinks. Both are recipes from a book i bought from Ruth at St. John spice. This cocktail was a hit, it is called Tortuga:

This one was not so much a hit. It is called a green frog. Everyone thought it was too sweet. I think it has to much curaco in it.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
Had a Father's day dinner here last night and this is the drink of the day. Seeing as my FIL doesn't drink and my husband is doped up on Percoset after shoulder surgery I guess I was just catering to myself
Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade
I used 1 can pink lemonade, a can of strawberry nectar and two cans cold water. To my glass I added a healthy dose of Vodka, added the juice to 3/4 full and topped with seltzer.
