Waking up in Cruz Bay
California Girl

Post by California Girl »

So many great replies! So many things I would have said myself, but since you guys have done frogs and watching Cruz Bay wake up, I'll pick SAILING THROUGH THE ISLANDS, sitting on the bow of the boat letting the wind blow my cares away. :D

Thanks for this thread, Vicki!

Waking up in the morning, knowing there is a full day ahead and no specific plan. Sipping wonderful coffee, looking out over the turquoise waters, letting the adventure yet to be wash over me.

Missing St. John. As always.

Sorry to repeat what someone's already said - but like lazylane - it's the colors of the water... those varying shades of turquoise just move me like nothing else can...
Peace,

That it's become part of me, both the good and the bad. (Or, the "good" and "bad" as it were.)

Thanks for this thread, Vicki. And great responses, everyone.

For me, it is not any one thing but it the whole, the essence of St John. You feel it as soon as you step off the ferry, a soothing of the soul, a freeing of the psyche.
I have had better burgers than Skinny's, and have seen deeper and wider beaches than Trunk; but no where have I felt what I feel on St John.
This is truly my Kokomo.
Its been a hell of a ride, destination still unknown!

It is so hard to pick just one!

I would say mine is the "ahhhhhh" feeling you get when you step off the ferry - there is no other feeling like it!
