Help with pelican picture.........please :)

Post by Pia »

Hi everyone,

Does anyone remember a photo that was posted here quite a while back - it was taken while the photographer was standing in the water, I believe at Maho, and took a fabulous photo of a pelican heading straight at him (or her). I would like to contact the photographer.

It is sooo strange that Joshie posted his fab pictures today as it was on my list of things to do - check out the pelican photographer :)

Joshie, if you didn't see my post in your thread, please send me a PM as to where I might be able to contact you re: your pictures :)

Thanks everyone.

I can picture the photo. I seem to think it might have been one of Ken's.

I think you're right, it was one of Ken's. I don't remember what service he uses to store his pictures tho.-Bert

They used to call me " Mr. Pelican Pants", in college.
Not sure why...
I obviously realize that I'm no help on this thread, just looking for a laugh...

Very nice picture :) but not it :(

The one I am thinking of is the one where the pelican is in full flight taken at about eye level very close to the photographer almost to the point where he had to duck to be missed.

Bill, I believe you are correct about Matt Reilly. I had him blow up that picture for me to poster size.

Yep, definitely Matt. I had him and Ken confused.

Was Matt possibly the first person on the forum who learned how to post photos and included them in a trip report? Or do I again have him mixed up with someone else?

And while I'm wondering about things, where did the term "sandscript" originate?

That was my husband, Pete. And, he coined it SANDSCRIT, but others seem to use sandscript sometimes.
