SJ - Oklahoma is indeed my most uncomfortable F4 pick. I had lotsa trouble picking that region. I dont like NC and I fear Syracuse may run out of gas. I've only seen Gonzaga a little and not seen your darkhorse Clemson play.
Re Michigan St. the Big Ten usually chokes in the tournament but I'm not crazy about Kansas either.

Pitt
NC
Memphis
UL

Worried about NC though.....Ty has to be healthy to make any kind of serious run at it.

Funny that all the "experts" are picking WKU over my Illini, but vegas odds have IL favored by 4 or 5?? Glad everyone's jumping on the WKU bandwagon.....more fuel for the fire

I'm a UConn fan but this team scares me to death. Memphis horrifies me. I'm banking on a few things happening: Every 5 years, when UConn goes West, all bracket hell breaks loose. By that, they're going to play Cal or Utah state in the Final 8. then again...the last time they played an 11 in the Elite 8.

I'm back now. I just threw up and poked my eyes out.

On with the picks:

If Lawson's healthy.
Mich St
Memphis
Pitt
NC
NC beats Memphis

If Lawson's not healthy (and don't try to follow how his injury possibly affects all of this)
Louisville
UConn
Duke
Gonzaga
UConn beats Duke

Louisville
U Conn
Pitt
Oaklahoma

Going for bust with Oaklahoma taking it all.

Pip - good points about uconn going west...crap always seems to hit the fan when they're out there.

Man, lots of Memphis votes! Memphis actually doesn't scare me much when it comes to them playing uconn. When you look at the teams that gave uconn trouble this year, it was teams like Pitt who have a big, physical presence in the paint to really get up into thabeet. Also syracuse, to a lesser extent than Pitt's Blair, have a couple of very physical bigs that gave thabeet problems.

Athletic teams like Louisville, uconn really handled well. Granted the loss of dyson is an x-factor, but we'll see.

On to my pics:

Final Four

Wake Forest
UConn
Pitt (although I could see Nova taking them out in the Elite 8)
Oklahoma

UConn beats Oklahoma for Calhoun's third national championship!!!!!

I've got Carolina beating Louisville

PS... So excited thay my KY Wildcats won over UNLV last night - NOT! NIT is not a UK tourney! Now I have to cheer for Louisville!

Yeah, overall not a bad bracket...The only thing I saw that caught my eye was that he has Mich State going to the Elite 8...I see two teams that could take them out on their way there in Boston College and West Virginia. I really, really like West Virginia. They make for tough match-ups all over the court. That freshman is legit.

I am a total Big East homer, but man...this bracket was really difficult to pick without choosing just about every BE team...Marquette is really good (even with the loss of their best player, Deion James)...Syracuse with that 2-3 zone that the rest of the country never sees (not to mention Jonny Flynn)...West Virginia's athleticism (and Huggins)...Villanova with Scottie Reynolds...UConn, Pitt, and Louisville...The talent in this conference this year is second to none.

All the while, UConn lost 4 conference games all year (including the 6 OT loss to Cuse in the BET)...and beat teams like Wisconsin and Gonzaga (in Seattle). Still, the prevailing wisdom is that they will go down to a young Memphis team that has beaten nobody.

We shall see.

Now, lets not see Uconn slip up this weekend. Please.

Let me amend that dig at Memphis...Just took another look at their schedule:

They also beat Gonzaga in Spokane...However, that's about it.

They lost to:

Xavier
Georgetown (as did UConn)
Syracuse at home (as did UConn, but not in their building)

They've won 25 games in a row since that Syracuse game...Beating the likes of Tulsa, Houston, UAB, Southern Miss, UTEP, Lamar, Rice, Marshall, Northeastern, Drexel...

Wow, that's cupcake city baby!
