I had a stroke. Apparently, making it to today means that I may be around (and [arguably] functional) for a few more years!
You never know when your entire world is going to turn upside down.

Thanks guys! I texted my daughter, who was home with me when it happened, that it'd been a year today, and she started consoling me. I said "no, this is wonderful news!"
