The kids are 5th graders. This was something that was sponsored by Pond Bay...the now (temporarily?) dead Pond Bay....but I am so happy that they were able to do this for the kids. My son attends Gifft Hill School and he is to young to be a participant, but he was so excited to go to this! I am so glad to hear that the kids enjoyed themselves. I love to see our children smiling, beautiful photo!

Thanks Pia! Luca was soooo excited about that. He had us digging through the house to try and find some paint for his face. I'm just really glad that the kids had fun. They did a presentation at the lower campus at Gifft Hill School earlier in the week and Luca was pretty impressed by what he saw. Thanks to everyone who helped with this event. It's a great thing, and I wish we had more events that brought all of our schools together.

Hi CG - yes these are the children that I have been helping to teach but full credit goes to the three teaching artists - Miss Gina, Miss Beth and Miss Teresa they did an amazing job with the children and their dedication showed last night.
Bill - you should have stopped me and said "hi" I would have loved to have met you - glad you had a good time and sorry about your wow
Julie - I was there on Monday as well and I hope Luca will be as excited when he is in 5th grade

Pia,
That was a wonderful event, wish I could have been there. About 5 years ago there was a movie about a dance competition in NYC. The children had never experienced dancing before and it turned their lives around. Wish that I could think of the name of the movie it was very inspiring and I had shown it to some of my classes to demonstrate how hard work pays off. If I ever find out its name I'll let you know. I think your children would enjoy it. Great that you helped the children and I'm sure that you got as much out of it as they did.
