What are your favorite "Cheap Eats" ?
What are your favorite "Cheap Eats" ?
I know some folks are pinching pennies out there but still trying to squeeze in a trip to STJ.
Perhaps we can all pitch in with ideas for favorite "Cheap Eats"
Try to keep it to just one. And identify whether it is a breakfast, lunch or dinner "Cheap Eat."
My personal fave:
Tourist Trap for lunch
Anyone else have a favorite?

I'm probably Vie's biggest fan, but this is more food than her conch fritters dish, for a dollar less! More than I could eat, and I'm a big eater! And delicious, too.....
Candi's Ribs. $11 rib dinner. Pianogirl will attest to the fact that you need to beat us there if you want her to have ribs left for you

On STT, without a doubt Island Time Pub for "island cheap " beer and pizza. Also you can't beat the daily happy hour at Greenhouse (2 for 1 drinks 4-7 pm) and 1/2 price appetizers.
On STJ, my vote goes to JJ's for great tex/mex and breakfast, Woody's for happy hour drink specials ($1-$2 beer and $4 painkillers), and to be honest, I am just fine with the snack shack at Trunk Bay for lunch. They make a mean (yet "cheap") grilled chicken sandwich. Or perhaps I'm just so damn happy to be there ANYTHING would be good!

Minde....you are so right!!! Candie's ribs are the BEST (& biggest, juicest) ribs I've ever had!! Can't wait to get them again!
We also found & tried (several times) P&P (Patricia Moorehead); absolutely wonderful & beautiful view of the ocean & bay where the car barge comes in (up on the hill at Moorehead Point)....outside or covered eating areas; AMAZING food & precious lady! Give it a try. Ask Ruth for more details on location, etc.
Definately worth going there!!
