Any body out there ever snorkel Johnson's Reff?? Is this something people do?I wasn't sure about boat traffic out there or current..Just wonderin' Thanks 586 hours till wheels up..

I would be concerned about the boat traffic. My recollection from taking a dinghy past the reef is that it is just to the edge of Drake's Passage. But, then again, I'm kind of a wuss.

Johnson's Reef is a very good snorkel. A lot of the Cruz Bay charter operators go there for a 2-hour snorkel, or you can do it from a dinghy. Just anchor along side the reef - not on the reef. Thank you!
