I cannot have pets because of my allergies, but this is a photo I took of my inlaws' cat on Christmas eve. She graciously consented to pose with a festive adornment.

Foofoo passed away last weekend at age 19.5. She was a well loved cat.

I'll see your cute cat pics and raise you two pug pics! The first one is our new baby- Cinnamon (full name: Little Cinnamon). We also have an older adorable pug named Nutmeg (see a theme?). The second pic is a friend's dog that we babysit often- Pippa. Pugs are a hoot!

Here's our lab Champ, when he was still too young to come home with us. Jason went to visit him at the breeder's house, and they bonded right away.

Here they are soon after Champ started training Jason:

And after his training had progressed a little further:

And here's the big lug (sans his "pet") today:

This is Buca. He's not with us anymore, but he was a great cat. Trained to do alot of things....

Check out his back legs, that's how he always laid.

Ahhhhhh...love them ALL!
Augie, your boy looks like he was doing a good job and training his pup seriously. That's a good lesson for the pup AND the boy, about consistency...

Thanks for posting everyone-you can tell there's lots of wonderful stories about each one I'm sure.

Had to add one of my cats-had her since she was 8 weeks:

Image

I took this picture of her when she turned 20 (knew the month, not the day!) and sent it along with a donation and a thank you letter to the shelter where I had picked her out. Initially she was with 3 other kittens, and she sat in the back and was spitting at me-I knew I wanted the one with the most "purrsonality" and she's had that in spades.

She's 21 1/2 now and still plugging along.
